SECRETARIAL NOTES (2018) COMPETITION RULES

Please make sure you are familiar with the Rules. See the index for page numbers. GREEN FEES are a matter between the players concerned. As fee levels vary between Clubs and counties it is recommended that when arranging the competition day of play you ascertain the fees required. HOSPITALITY is an unwritten law. If you are unable for any reason to offer your opponents some sustenance at the end of the game, it would be courteous of you to say so when arranging the game initially.

ASSOCIATION TIES AND LAPEL BADGES

Prices at time of going to press: Ties £7.50 (Post 50p). The Association Metal Lapel Badge is £2.00 (S.A.E. required). Any price alteration may be advised later. The playing Tie is in the late Earl of Lonsdales racing colours. The Tie is the correct wear for any matches and for the Annual General Meeting. For awards of Blazer Badges please refer to the Constitution Rule 16 and the Competition Rule 12 concerns the award of L&SC flashes for the Competitions.

To maintain the cost to clubs of printing and distribution of the Yearbook some information will no longer be printed but will be shown in full on our web site – www.lscbowlers.co.uk The web site has been updated and our new web master – John Harriyott – would be pleased to receive your comments

Currently 105 Outdoor and 50 Indoor Clubs.


NOMINATIONS FOR EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE


The closing date for nominations is 30th November. All members of Affiliated Clubs are eligible for nomination and those elected are determined by ballot at the Annual General Meeting.


                                                                Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting will be held at the Bounds Green Bowls Club during the months of February or March in accordance with Rule 12.
